For what the basket costs, this should be included! We paid $3000 for this thing and I had to make a fitting out of Instamorph to make the basket fit smoothly against the steering column. This should be the default installation. I'm 150 pounds, and that seat it is not comfortable for me. I found it very small. Just wondering how a person of 300 pounds would handle that small seat.

How do you test the storage capacity of a battery? What I want to know more precisely is: how do you find out if the battery is 20Ah, 30Ah, 40Ah or 60Ah? How do you test it? The label on the battery says 100Ah but it can be 60Ah. or 40Ah. How do you find out?

You make disassembling the TS look easy. IMO, it isn't. I have a junior TS (2003) and the buttons/pins are hard to push in for removing the front wheel and seat.

Why did you change it to this more bulky option? I remember it folded a lot smaller in the earlier versions where it could fold into a bag.

Thank you. The instruction manual should say how to fold the scooter too. It does not. Very frustrating.

On page 5 of the manual where it talks about the seat it says nothing about the seat not being set so you can’t see the tube. If that is a true statement maybe it should be included in the manual. Sorry for the dry tone I’m just matching the tone of the video saying you will void your warranty for something you were never informed of.

There should be a label somewhere saying not to raise the seat beyond a certain point. Without watching this video I would not have known I’m using it wrong. If it in the manual, well I read that 3 years ago. And I’m someone that actually reads manuals. Thanks for the information

Kevin, I believe that to tighten a screw is not "As Hard You Can". It is Ideal to have a Torque Wrench and there should be a specification in Nm to tight a specific screw.

Thank you - very helpful for those who can get the throttle OFF of the scooter :(. I wish you had shown one step before you have the throttle in your hand. I just can't seem to get mine off of the bar.I have removed the hard casing for the ignition (and screws), the rubber end piece and rubber throttle turn piece - but the inner turn piece will not budge.

Nah, not if my example is anything to go by (2019 deluxe). The actual motor (the part in the centre with the copper windings) started to pull out of the planetary gear assembly while the axle on the opposite side (outside) stayed put (unlike here where the whole thing just pulls out of the hub/ring-gear nice'n'easy). After an hour of trying I gave up for fear of damaging something (someone with an actual workshop might have persevered, I have no such luxury available to me). You shouldn't really encourage people to undertake this kind of work when you yourself are apparently unaware of potential problems. I could easily have made a very expensive mistake (parts for these machines are extortionate).

You need to shift your weight towards the front wheel with Smartscoot when on a hill or in a tough spot.

I bought a Travelscoot Escape last year....I did not specify a Deluxe size or a shopper..... you sent me a smaller sized shopper.....Is there only one size for the Escape? I feel cramped in this smaller sized Shopper.....please give me a reply.....thanks.

SOME OF US HAVE TROUBLE LIFTING THE LEG OVER THE BAR TO REACH THE FOOT PEGS. YEA, I KNOW YOU WILL ADD A FEW LBS, HOWEVER THE EASE OF MAKING IT ACCESSABLE WOULD BE A PLUS. 5. I believe most airlines will allow a mobility scooter to be loaded free of charge, best to speak to the airline well in advance. They might not be pleased if you pack the case with clothing.

I need a wheelchair at times so I stopped going out. I cannot get it in the car alone. Wheels come off but in chair even without the wheels is impossible for me to lift. Where & how mush?

The scooter should work fine using an extension cable to the battery so it is easier to plug in. Plus leaving the battery in the main basket works fine. I had not thought about taking off the front wheel. That would help a lot.

I just want people with reduced mobility to know the truth, that everything is more difficult. Despite everything, I am very happy with the equipment because it is one of the smallest and very well built and there are pieces of everything. I think that in the future I will buy another one like it.

I live in Spain and I have had a travel scooter for 7 years. I have used it very comfortably but it has its difficulties getting it in and out of the car as you have done. When used by older people or people with reduced mobility, it is not as easy to disassemble the travel scoot as you have done. Firstly, because the screws that allow the travel scoot to fold rust over time and it is very difficult to close and open them and they do not allow the travel scoot to be folded so easily.
